Tungsten Eye Shields, Ear Shields, and Face Shields are essential protective gear, particularly for medical procedures involving electron beams up to 9MeV.

Our inventory includes large, medium, and small tungsten shield blanks to cater to diverse needs.

T&D Tungsten Eye Shields come equipped with a choice of 0.5 mm or 1 mm thick anodized aluminum caps, both included with each shield. These caps effectively mitigate electron backscatter to the eyelid. The shield can be used without the aluminum cap when placed superficially. Tungsten eye shields offer less transmission compared to other options.

For optimal protection, the 2 mm tungsten eye shield is recommended for 6 MeV, while the 3 mm variant is advised for 9 MeV. However, users must assess acceptable backscatter levels to determine whether to utilize the 0.5 mm or 1 mm aluminum cap. Shields are not recommended for electron beams exceeding 9 MeV.
