Pure Tungsten Anodes for X-Ray Tubes

X-ray tubes used in medical contexts feature a tungsten emitter coil and a rotary or static anode, typically composed of tungsten or a tungsten-rhenium alloy. The choice of these materials is crucial due to their low vapor pressure, exceptional heat conductivity, and the specific wavelength of X-rays they produce.

Directly heated cathodes or heater coils for indirectly heated cathodes in cathode ray tubes for TV sets or computer displays, X-ray tubes, electron tubes, klystrons, and magnetrons for microwave ovens.

T&D offers rhenium-tungsten and pure tungsten wire, along with anodes as per your design. Additionally, rhenium-tungsten and pure tungsten discs are available.

Tungsten Plates & Sheets

Tungsten plates and tungsten sheets are isostatically pressed and sintered from our high-purity tungsten powders to compact ingots by powder metallurgy. These are then further processed through a series of deformations and heat treatments until the required products are finished. We have the capability of machining tungsten plates and sheets with thicknesses ranging from 3.15 inches (80 mm) to less than 0.004 inches (0.1 mm).
